Yogyakarta, October 20, 2021 – The 64th anniversary of the Department of Social Development and Welfare (PSdK), FISIPOL UGM, ended with an online alumni gathering on Saturday (11/20). With the theme “Building Togetherness, Building the Future,” the theme was inspired by the sense of togetherness or guyub that has always been present within the PSdK family. The theme also expresses the hope that alumni will continue to contribute to the department through their ideas, work, and respective roles.

The event was hosted by Tuti and Layla, PSdK students, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event was opened by Danang Arif Darmawan with an opening prayer. After that, the event continued with a speech from Dr. Krisdyatmiko, S.Sos., M.Si as the head of the PSdK Department. In his speech, Krisdyatmiko explained the developments, achievements, and accomplishments of the PSdK Department so far. One of the latest achievements is the plan to open a doctoral program, which is nearing realization. The next speech was given by the Dean of FISIPOL UGM, Dr. Wawan Masudi, S.IP., MPA, who expressed his appreciation to the PSdK Department for its continuous innovation and remarkable progress. The third speech was delivered by Yusra Abdi, as a representative of the Sosiatri/PSdK Alumni Association, and concluded with a speech from a representative of the FISIPOL UGM Alumni Family (KAFISPOLGAMA), represented by Diah Ayu Permatasari.

The event continued with the screening of a video tribute to the alumni. The video, which contained moments of alumni togetherness during college and after graduation, made the online alumni gathering feel warmer as they reminisced about the various moments in the video. Next, Layla and Tuti, as MCs, displayed various photos of the campus atmosphere from time to time.

Even though the alumni gathering was held online, it did not reduce the excitement of the event. This was evident during the entertainment session and the distribution of door prizes. Several alumni recited poems and rhymes during the entertainment session. In addition, KAPSTRA also performed two songs, adding to the excitement of the event. A total of dozens of door prizes were distributed to alumni by the PSdK Department. The PSdK alumni gathering event was closed with a group photo.
