Abstract

Global inequalities of multi-faceted nature have been a major concern in global policy debates. The research project intends to undertake a study on global and national perspectives on health system development in Indonesia. The case study will make a contribution to the academic literature regarding (1) the analytical approaches to study social policy in a developing country context ; (2) our understanding of developing countries’ health system reform processes in the context of multi-actor global governance, and (3) the provision of a normative assessment to the appropriate transnational involvement in national health policies.
